Looks like a good piece, to me! I like the chipped-off and (I guess it's "flaked") worn look of the coat.
I can see the whitewash getting layered on in the cold!
One suggestion/question/comment: Your exhaust- to me, too starkly reddish rusty. Tone it down, maybe- darken it? That, and there would have been whitewash slopped on it, too. I suppose that the whitewash would be blackened a bit?

Looks great. Love the whitewash and the chips. I agree with panzerbob about the exhausts. With all of the different rust effect options out there I think you may be able to get more variation in the rust colours and also tone it down a bit. i have used Mig Pigments rusts to good effect and surprisingly easy. Maybe add some muddy footprints on the deck or some spilled oil and grease stains.

Looks great. I believe that the Germans used a red oxide as a base coat. Can tell you put a lot of work into it.
