Great job Seb....I've vowed not to do another Trumpeter Stryker ( I buy only AFV Club Strykers now) but your work on this sure tempts me to get it.

What paint brand/color did you use for the base color? I really like the way it came out.

Seb:

The Stryker looks awesome. I do Have a couple of questions, I build mainly airplane stuff but really like the medical version of teh Stryker so I am not real up on armor thingies. Are the two yellow gumballs at the rear the MILES lights? If so, would they be on teh vehicle in battle or only during exercises. The light on the left side is on a pole, is that a MILES light as well or just the light in the "cage". If so, which lights woul dbe on the vehicle in combat?

Thanx,
Carl

Thanks Carl
for your comments
Gumballs you mean the black half sphere ??
No they are laser detector.
Miles is only for training purpose.
The light on the pole is for cruise on civil road only and the the other light is the whoopie light to show the vehicle hit during training.
Both lamps will not be use on field/combat Ops
But strykers experts will confirm or not my comments

Seb:

Thank you so much for your reply. The gumballs are the yellow lights. One last question if I may? If the lights are removed, what is left? What parrts would I leave if the model is depicted as being in combat and not training?

Thanx,
Carl

I'm finished my Trumpeter M1127 and about to start painting. I note that you used 80% NATO Green+ 20% JA Green as the colour for the vehicle. Was this the base coat, did you apply any other base coat.

Seb;
Looks great. I have been following this since you started and this is what prompted me to get the 1133 kit. So, its your fault that I now have 3 Stryker kits and multiple AM sets on the way
Again, great work and thanks for the lead on Dirk at ProArt. Cheers.

Turned out great! Where did you get the spine board and other stowage items? The day-glo colours really make them stand out. Nice job painting the ACU cammo on the bag too.

I know this is a bit late, but IIRC the MILES sensors are 2" across and the belts are 2.75 or 3" wide.

i will walk over to the yard and take some pictures of one with a ruler for future reference.

Nice MEV btw.
