I did some searches on this site for techniques on how to fade (I guess that is the correct term) German 3-tone camo...how to make the camo appear faded/less bold colored so it doesn't look like it just rolled off the factory floor. Since my base color is dark yellow, should I apply many washes of really thinned dark yellow acrylic Vallejo paint over the whole model to help blend the colors together or should I use some other color? I know that pigments at the very end and weathering washes etc will also help, but that is at the end of the process...
If that is the correct method, should these washes be applied before or after the oil pin washes used to highlight panel edges/bolts/joints?
Thank you all!

Matthew Tomms has a thread that may help.

As far as a fading wash, I would try a color neutral to the tri-color camo. Mix your base coat at about 10:3 base color and the brown used. About 2:3 paint and thinner. There are several threads that cover this, if you use the search function.
Hope this helps.

The model is almost finished. Here are some shots. They may be a bit glare-y due to the Ott light I used.
