Hello there, during the early part of WW1 - the high command believed there was little purpose to building, let alone meeting the cost of an armoured vehicle later on to be called a tank.
During those years 2 British Whippet tanks were captured by the German army and hense the markings, they also believed the tank did have a place, and that would be on the battle-field.
Just click onto any photo and this should open up the flickr file.
And just one last pix of the actual Whippet on our trip to Dorset a few days ago.

Thank you for those kind comments. WW1 is a somewhat strange subject, mostly aircraft and battleships, and sadly very little armour with track or wheel, I've tried to place this little dio in history, the trench, soilders of the time and a captured Whippet dragging itself through the mud attacking the very people that built it, I dare say there's a touch of irony to the whole diorama.

Nice job, Alec. I agree. The world needs more 1/35 scale WWI armor!
