Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. Yup, an M1A2 SEP taxi in NYC would give a whole new meaning to gridlock.

Hay is there any chance that we can see a finished photo with this M1 and your M992A2 FAASV in the same photo, please. Man that would make a grate photo.
I bet the othere guys would love to see that as well, wouldn't you guys?

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

I'll have to think about a turret basket set. I don't have any of the pieces, I just make them as I need them.

hello gino .
even if you just make the plastic parts im sure i can deal with the mesh, and im sure i wont be the only person wanting this set . could be a nice little earner for you ,please consider this gino it would allow me to finish my m1 and maybe i.ll order a few so i can put that little bit extra in m1's i have already finished ,, regards Ian

Thanks Ian and Thomas. I'll think about the turret parts. It won't be until spring until I could get to them though. We'll see.

Thanks Martyn. I'm not sure of the figures yet. I may use the Warriors USMC AAVR Maintenance Crew set.

The standing guys looks pissed and like he is about to clobber the other guy with the sledge though.

Hey Gino, yeah it does Verlinden do the tank crew leaning against the Bradley! If they are any use? I had that set and swapped the head for an alpine tankers one.

But I like the warriors figures, "you break my tank now I break you"
Keep us posted !

Martyn: Which Verlinden set are you talking about, I don't recognize them? They may be usable.

Thanks Charles.

Hi Gino!

It´s cool to see, that you too mastered the challenge and rebuilt this quite difficult interior of an Abrams Very good work, buddy!
I made my Abrams from the Dragon AIM with CMK Engine and old Verlinden Interior Kit... (for interested Abrams builders: http://picasaweb.google.com/Gregorious30/M1A1AbramsAIMOperationIraqiFreedom2003# )

Had you an easier job, due to the partly made interior on your basic Abrams kit? is this taxi plate a part of a kit or done by you?

By the way, the tankers you are looking for are possibly these :

Im looking forward to see the progress in your diorama, Gino!

Greetings
Gregor

Thanks Gregor. Yours came out great too. The original Dragon kit interior does make it easier. It is more accurate than the Verlinden set and gives you most of the uooer turret and driver's area. It leaves you with a lot less to scratch.

The TAXI sign and decals come in the Dragon M1A2 SEP kit. It is from the actual 3-8 CAV ommander's tank in Iraq.

Here is the progress so far. The tank is done. Now I need to add a couple figures and a base. The MGs will be laid out on a tarp. There will be a tool box and some tools as well.

Here is the finished tank.
