Hi Everyone!
So here is my build log for Polish Leopard 2A4 from 10 Brygada Kawalerii Pancernej(10th Armored Cavalery Brigade) It will be made mostly out of the box with metal barrel and some my additions.
The Vechicle I'm going to made:
1. Overall look so far
2. I have made some welds according to photographs I own:
3. Tools buckles(I'm not sure it is the right word so correct me if I am wrong )
4. Rear part with some scratch work.
So this was the progress of my build so far. Hope you will like it.
Comments and suggestions will be most welcome
Piotrek

Your Leopard is looking good, but looking at the photo I don't see the red-and-white diamond Polish national emblem. Has its use been discontinued? That's a shame!

I'm affraid yes. Ther red-white diamond was not used on Leopards as well I haven't seen them on repainted T-72, and other equipment.

Nice hand made details. Are you going to use the Toro models crew?

That is some nice looking dirt.
After all the other details I think you should hollow out the headlights and fill with clear epoxy after painting the insides silver. It does take a day or two for the epoxy to fully cure though.

Have you test fitted side skirts to the hull? The fit is a bit tight with tracks on. Besides, I think you've already noticed that tracks are a bit to short in HB kit.

Marcin
Sprawdzałem i jak na razie nie ma większego problemu. Zobaczymy jak to będzie wyglądało po wklejeniu kół na stałe./
I have checked it and find no problems so far. The wheels are not glued yet. So the tracks are not in right position. I will check again after I glue them.
Thanks Paul, i will try this.
For the vignette the color is a natural color of mass I have used. I'm
going to paint it properly, add some pigments, grass etc. It's going
to look like this(I hope):

The construction part is over. Only few details to be added. And front lights will be also remade.
I have painted the vignette. Now I'm waiting for the grass to arrive
I have also remade the signal lights with transparent plastic. They will be painted with clear orange paint later.
cheers
Piotrek

The base looks awesome. Can't wait to see some foliage added to it. You've far surpased me in the amount of scratch-building on this kit. If you don't want to hollow out the headlights, paint them silver and add a drop of CA glue. This should give them the illusion of depth.

Thanks Matt
I will try to hollow them. Just need to find the right tool . It's first time when I make scratch work. It's not perfect but I'm doing my best. Still I think I should made much more to get this model 100% accurate.

Finally find some time to paint my Leo. Today base color.
Firstly Mr. Surfacer
Then NATO Green Tamiya
Result:
Some mud on the hull (made with acrylic resin and pigments)
Also made some missing screws on the rear wheel.
And hollow out the lights:
Further works next weekend I hope
Cheers

Long time no see But I'm back and I'm with my Leo. I have added the second color, and add some grass to the ground. There will be some correctetions in painting later. Waiting for your comments and suggestions.

Your build looks good Piotrek, I like the base as well. I have to admit that I have a soft spot for these Leo's as well. Hope to pick up one of these along with the 2A5 and 2A6 sometime in the near future
