Hi gents,
Thank you for all the positive feedbacks,
Olivier:- Some brute force will do,
Bruce:- That jacket is what motivated me to do some splinter patterns,
Harald & James:- At the moment I'm worried that the weathering job might ruin my painting,
BTW: here's another unnecessary mistake from HB, one of the hinges is missing on the stowage box lid (rear right). Luckily this will go under and covered by the bustle with the turret turned 11 o'clock.
Best regards,
Li

Hi all,
Here's another update,
Weathering is almost complete, the whole scheme looks darker now.
After sealing the pastel chalk with dull-coat then a little more highlight will bring out more contour of the tank, I think!
Hope you like it so far !
Cheers,
Li

Li,
Your model looks very nice. Is there a 'Tweak List' for this kit?
Regards.

Li,
that looks excellent!
I like these vehicles in a used but well cured condition. That is my experience when I saw them around my home town.
Too much or very much dirt on it is only acceptable for me in an according diorama.

Hi all,
Thank you gentlemen all for your constructive comments,
Jay:- more pictures are coming,
Neil:- I don't know if a tweak list exists for this kit, but the problems I've encountered with this kit so far are,
- the instruction wrongly told you to use the APU box,
- the wrong representation(PE) or lack of (turning light) light guards,
- a missing hinge on the rear right stowage box,
- double tarp for the commander's hatch,
- lack of grab handles on the two stowage box next to the turret hatches,
- and there is no anchor for the two tow cables to hock-up to on the engine deck,
Harald:- I too like a subtle weathering effect, it not only gives you a used look, it also brings out enough of the detail without messing up the delicate cammo pattern (like this one).
The heavy handed clunky-chunky, wet soft ground, mud splattered look is definitely not for me.
Best regards,
Li

Hi Jay,
I did mess up a lot of kits when I started out air brushing; wrong color, way off cammo patterns, paint too thick, etc, etc.......
The main point is to know your equipment well, your air brush and compressor goes as a team, you have to find out what's the best combo for them, paint mix, air pressure, distance from the nozzle to the model, an so on,
so patience and a lot of practice is a must in order to master air brushing,
and references to other's work is also a plus,
Cheers,
Li

Hi, Li
I will practice sparying on a cardboard box before I get my hands on the model, for now I just want to put basic nato green on the leopard after I finish it. And I might bug you again about air brush later if you don't mind.
Thank you for the tips
The str122 looked very good , I Guess that's one of the hardest colors to make it right. And hobbyboss didn't do a very good work on that model, so it really make you work hard...... to fix all the craps.....I personally prefer revell and tamiya kit...

salut
très bon travail dans le vieillissement du blindé ,la peinture est très bien réalisée.
une petite remarque:
il manque l'antenne et les cables de remorquages.
Les 3 plaques sur le glacis avant , à proximité des phares sont blanche ou fluorescente?
cordialement
sampiero
hello
very good work in the aging tank, the paint is very well done.
a little note:
it lacks the antenna and the towline.
The 3 plates on the front glacis, near white or fluorescent lights are?
cordially

Sampiero,
the 3 plates on the front glacis are no lights but only reflectors. See the pictures in this collection:
