Chuk!

Here's one tutorial: http://powellminipainting.blogspot.se/p/tutorials.html

If you feel like getting yourself a book, I would recommend "Modeling US Armor of World War 2" by Steve Zaloga. It includes a chapter on figure painting for armour modellers (note the difference, "for armour modellers", not "for figure painters"). It helped me immensely with a sound down-to-earth approach on how to get good results without spending a 110% effort on every figure! And best of all (for me at least): using Vallejo acrylics!

Hi Chuk, Calvin Tan has some good stuff on his site http://zyclyon.blogspot.ca , and the osprey waffen SS book by him is great for cammo stuff. Speaking of books, good job on yours, fun stuff!

Chuck,

Fantastic return to the ol' Kuble. Wendy's makeover - she's all grown up. Loved the shot of Pffenning with the lock on his beak!

Thanks, guys! Great info -cheers! I've ordered a set of Vallejo face colors- it never hurts to have more paints, does it? I've been busy with work (hurray!) but there will be more soon.

That is awesome work man. And the base and groundwork look great as well!.
I was wondering,as far as the figure thing is concerned, have you checked out Bill Horans' book? In addition to Sheps' book on figures and dios,Bills' is very nice and in paperback as well,so not too dear?

Chuck! I love it! This is the stuff I have dreamt of for many years but I never get around to doing it (or rather trying it...).

Thanks, my friends! Jerry, I'll have to track a copy down- can't get enough good modeling guides, can we? Well, here it is- after years of languishing on the Shelf O' Doom, the Well Diorama is complete at last. Here I sit, a well-earned martini in hand, surveying my efforts- take a look, I hope you'll enjoy it.

That is a awesome finish my good buddy! You would never know that you had such a long break between armor builds. This is all very nice. Steep learning curve as well.
Hope to see you here more often bro,
