My Friends-- I embarked on a modeling experience that I wish to relate to you. I am still a novice at the photo links so the pictures are forthcoming. Here is what I wanted to do and where I stand now. Started with the superb DML M4A4. Great kit, fit of the transmission to the hull was difficult, but generally speaking a fine model to build. Now, I add the Coree Sherman Crab after market product, AF track and the JR 75mm gun. The track and the gun were no problem. The Coree kit is an experience akin to a root canal. If it had not been for Hollowpoint (thanks again, Bob) and his fax traffic, I would have given up long ago. As per usual the instructions are difficult to read and comprehend without dozens of reference photos. So, if you decide to do this one, homework is all important. Made numerous errors which I can briefly describe. First, I failed to build the complete M4 kit prior to placing the aftermarket on it. Big error especially when it comes to placing the drive sprockets in between the Crab support arms. Patience is not a virtue with me. Through more trail and error, I belatedly concluded that you need to study and dry fit each assembly then glue! Big super DUH on that point. The flail rotor has 44 hard points which are difficult to glue in place. The tweezers are constantly sticking to the parts and subsequently tearing them off the rotor cylinder. If someone has an idea on how to Super Glue without this happening, please share it with us. I am gradually finishing this laboriously portion of assembly. Once again, photos are in the final stage of processing and will be posted shortly. Just wanted to share the pain of this experience with you. Hopefully, the results will justify the investment of time.

If the hard points you mention are U shaped, you could replace them with copper wire of the right gauge. Make a bunch of U's with one leg longer so they look more like a J. Drill a hole at the atachement point and insert after having threaded the chain onto the wire.
It they are more O shaped, you could do much the same but making the O more like a Q ann inserting the tail into the hole you've drilled. NOw, if the hardpoints are not either of these shapes, ingore this post.

Another trick is to put a few drops of glue on the sticker paper (just peel of the stickers). This delays theherdening process... then use a piece of metal wire to put the glue on the required object. If too much glue is clogged on the wire, you can just burn it of.

Al--thank you for the response. I think you are onto something here. If I drill the indent space on the rotor, place a piece of brass in there and then place the kit supplied wedge against it, it would seem to me that there would be enough strength in the piece to support the attachment of the chain. I'll try it and get back to you.
thanks
