Here's a look at where I am on the land rovers. The soft top is not attached and the doors on the cube are being worked on.

Excellent models , the Tamiya Rover 7 Ambulance and Revell LandRover 109 Series III I presume, how did you do the canvas soft top, it looks stunning.
I have just built one of the Revell kits with the kit stock soft top, and it is the one part of the kit I am totally dissatisfied with, it just doesn't look realistic, I am contemplating having a go at making one out of milliput but as I have not much experience with milliput I keep putting it off.
Happy modelling :-)

You nailed them both Ant.
I used Aves Apoxy Sculpt and sculpted over the top of the old top. I kept the putty pretty thin and used the end of a paint brush to sculpt the folds. I then took a cotton shirt and pressed it into the putty to give it some texture.

Great work Mark specially on the canvas tops. Just one thing, on the one portraited in the first pic I like the mud build-up on the vehichle but in my view, if there's so mkuch mud on the tire you shoud have the inner part of the wheel more muddy too...

A very nice set of models Mark. As an ex-medic (US) I am an ambulance fan. I have both of these kits in my stash and I hope I can do half the job you did on yours. Here's a pic of one I did back in the '70's, after it went through a flood in my basement. Talk about weathering.
