Hey Gang-
I can never seem to finally say I'm done with a model..... they sit on my bench awaiting tweaks that may or may not come. This is the old tooling Dragon Nashorn with both Eduard etch sets. I used the kit tracks and barrel. Drilling out the guide horns on all the track links was.... well..... errr..... fun :-)
I modified the kit to represent a Nashorn serving with s.H.Pz.Jg.Abt. 525 in Italy. These Nashorns had one of the spare wheels relocated on the side of the drivers compartment, as well as black tactical numbers. The numbers are hand painted, while the crosses are Archer transfers.
The gun travel lock was re-worked, along with the interior wiring for the radio and antenna. Periscopes were added from some scopes in the spares box (I have no idea which kit they came from).
I'm seeking comments (good and bad). Let me know if I've made any mistakes.... I sometimes can't see the forest through all the trees :-)
Am I done?
Jeff

My only suggestion would be a ilttle more rust color to the spare track.
If it looks like a rhino, and smells like a rhino, and moves like a rhino, then it MUST be a rhino! #:-)

Thanks guys - I guess I'm done then....
Question for AJLaFleche......
The next thing I want to do is crew this baby out, but my figure painting skills are not up to par. I am very happy with the vehicle, and don't think that my usual pasty dude along for the ride will cut it. I took a look through your album and thought that you would be a good person to get advice from (tremendous figures by the way)....
How do you use oil paints with out getting a "lumpy" surface... this is what I'm talking about-
Thanks again-
Jeff
