Hi Raul, This is like watching a movie Im flinching waiting for a mine to go off. excellent work sir reminds me of when i was a kid I can almost smell the seaweed.

Thanks for all the words of support. I'm glad the "story" of the diorama came through. My biggest fear was that people wouldn't piece together the sign with the boy running or the kite.
And yes, the story is open and that creates the tension of waiting for the landmine to go off. I was worried that it would be too negative.
When he saw the diorama, my 9yr old asked me what happened to the boy. I told him that we don't know and everyone has to make up their own story. Given that I have two young boys, I envision the boy running out there getting his kite and running back missing the landmines by shear luck. When his brother show him the sign the boy can't stop shaking and they promise never to tell their parents. Only years later when they are married and have kids of their own they tell their parents about the time one of their boys almost got killed.

A beautiful diorama, brilliantly executed. I stand in awe of modellers who turn out such work.
One small gripe, which refers to the title - England did not stand alone, Britain stood alone. England brought Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland alongside them and to refer to Great Britain as England upsets some of us bigtime.
