what do I think ?
very very impressive. looks like you have had a tonne of fun with thi so far. And lots to go! I like that it has a story to tell and there are clues hidden in plain sight that let the viewer tell themselves the story as they find them. superb.
Man you have deep deep pockets! Thats a helluva lot of accesories in there. Would of cost a bundle. Thats dedication to your art, I bet your not married huh ?
May I offer an observation? some of the colours are very sharp in contrast and maybe thats just the pc screen or the pictures taken with a flash or something else, but It looks like lots of things may benefit from a very fine mist/ dust coat of rubble coloured dust to make them have less contrast. Just an observation without the benefit of seeing the model live, and thats what I think.
I love the dedication to this, I love the architectural forethought like the plumbing behind the bathroom wall, and thoroughly look forward to seeing how this one ends up.
Impressive.

It’s looking real good!
What are you planning to put on the diorama?

Looks good but a few notes as I see them.
- A few things that strike me though as far as the retaining wall of the podium on which the house is built:
1) Left and right of the central steps up to the front door are exact copies. This would be true/possible for a well maintained (or new) house. For a dillapidated, or damaged podium, the odds are virtually 0 that either side of the stairs would be identical. So perhaps a simple solution would be to add some more plaster cover to one side. Also, if the damage is due to bad maintenance, then there would be some weeds and moss growing the seems between the stones.
2) The podium seems to consist of two pieces on either side of the stairs. The vertical seem between the elements running through them simply does not exist on the real thing. Unfortunately it immediately draws the eye, and otherwise distracts from an interesting feature of the diorama.
3) The horizontal slabs on top of the retaining wall seem to be completely undamaged, which seems improbable to me considering the heavy fire (artillery, mortar, tanks, small arms, hand grenades) to which the house itself was subjected.
4) The grey tone itself is, I think almost spot on. It might be the images, but they all do same to be of the exact same colour. This though does not necessarily diminish this part of the diorama.
- As far as the house itself goes:
1) I do think that the dominant colour of the brick is all right (though it is not the most common shade, I think). I also do like the occasionally darker toned brick(s) you have inserted. I do, however, miss the lighter individual bricks, although this might be distortion due to the fotograph.
2) I miss the small arms/shrapnell damage, although again, this might be a distortion due to the photo. I do like that you have not overdone the more substantial damage. Of course, if you still have to address the small arms damage, feel free to ignore this comment.
Again, as said before, I think what you have done so far looks good.
Cheers,
Harm
PS. Perhaps one of the potted plants might have fallen over due to the shockwaes/percussion of the exploding grenades...
