I am working on a diorama, which I want to include snow in it. I have completed a wall by MiniArt.

I painted the wall with grey for the top, yellow H313 from Gunze for the sides, wood brown H37 Gunze for the doors and brown for the stones of the wall. I decided to paint the stones with dark brown, beacause the russian ground is usually this colour. I have ''Russian earth'' MIG pigment and it looks almost like that colour.

After painting, I washed the wall with non diluted Raw Umber oil paint. When I applied it on the wall, I wiped it off almost immediately with a tissue. I used some pigment of Europe dust and finally I seale everything with Vallejo matt varnish. I used hair spray to make the chipping on the doors.

The T-34/76 is from AFV. I built the interior, but not everything, as almost nothing will be seen. I painted it with Dark Green of Humbrol in spray can.
I used floor polisher before the wash. I also used some photoetched parts from Eduard, like the bended fender. That is where I am now.

The chipping is overdone, but little will be seen after the whitewash that I want to add.

Is there a preview button, to preview my post before posting it?

I made a mistake with the hairspray, so I sanded the white colour with 800 degree sandpaper. That was the only thing I could do. I will try to improve the hairspray technique.

As for the tank's crew, I tried to show that their clothes are dirty enough. Is this correct, or should I remove the dirt?

Some progress, after so much time...

I will make some minor changes, though.

More than a year after my last post, I have an update.
I must say that I don't want to push it too far, so I don't think that I will have much detailing.
Here are some new photos

The snow was made by mixing soda with diluted white glue. I tried to do some weathering on the T-34. It can be seen at the last photos.

There are plenty of things to be doe, such us the large door at the gate and the snow above the rocks.
