Hi, sorry for the sorry pics but time is a factor modelling sometimes
I'm using a SU-85 and T-34/85 (Gasoline/Hobby Boss) crossing a bridge into Berlin (Verlinden). I was thinking of using a spare PanzerIV turret for sticking out of the water, and maybe a BMW motorcycle with sidecar or schwimwagen in that empty space next to the left side of the T-34. For height, I'm going to add some lamposts to replace a couple of those nobs on the bridge. The photo inspired the build. Any tips welcome!

Construction looks good so far.
Be careful with the mound of 'dirt' on the left side of the diorama. The piece of styrofoam on the left. it looks to be higher than the one right at the bridge head. Maybe acceptable, but is the T34 coming straight onto the bridge or did it come up the river side and pivot to turn onto the bridge. If the later, the tank would have ripped up the dirt of the mound.
I would go for level ground.
And if i just can't see the picture right and it is level then you're on the right track.

Hi Scott, I was planning to use wall spackling and or clay to get the final leveling and then cover it with a strip of Kinkali stone road. Thanks

Thanks Sal, I should send you a RB barrel so you can "accidently" have to build another 1/48 kit!
I'm liking the multi-vehicle scenes now too and still learning.

Greg, this is looking great! I can't wait for the chance to construct a diorama in 1/48, but for now am just enjoying building. It's quickly becoming my favorite scale for armor in many aspects. I am currently working on a Hetzer, M4A1, and a M4A3 easy eight. Great stuff

Got the figures picked out now (4 total), and may have the 2 scouts behind the BMW motorcycle - TBD. The Panzer IV turret will be mostly submerged. Any ideas welcomed.

i really like your layout and your bridge is a great piece of architecture Greg. the pics sure make it seem like it's 1/35 scale. look forward to seeing this come together especially how you create the submerged turret. cheers, bd.

Greg,
I like the submerged PIV turret and the street came out well, as has the bridge. Looking really good.

Bruce, Anthony, Nico, Zon Thank you
I sawed the pzIV turret in half at an angle and completed the 2 crew figures. I want to get the base fixed down and things set in place. Will post more soon (a modeller always hopes so anyways).

I changed the position and direction of the tanks and decided I will modify the AOW figures so only heads or portions are sticking out of hatches, and include the Total War Miniature scouts that way. I may just add a guard rail to help take up the empty space along the road and give the scout more to hide behind. I eliminated the sunken panzer IV as I think it may be too unrealistic. Again ideas welcome
