How exactly did you do the crached plate effect considering that it was not done as random cracking but patterned after the damage as shown in the picture/ Was it a simple cut using the kit hull or did you make you own plate from plastic card?

Thanks for the comments, guys. I really appreciate it.

I am also very satisfied with the end result and have decided to include it in a diorama with another tank. Just have not decided on the other tank yet. Maybe an allied tank from Normandy '44.

Jasper great job on the burnt out portion looking forward to seeing it in the dio

Hey Everybody,
Jasper, that's a great looking effect!
So many nice builds. I have some catching up to do.
So, with a little time between projects, I'll attempt a finish with this.

An oldie from my ever-growing (and spiraling out of control) stash.
My plan is to build it and saw it in half. The original idea was that it was knocked out and either ran off, or was pushed off the road above a creek by the Germans.
We'll see what happens,
Charlie

Thanks for all the comments, guys. I appreciate it.

Glenn, the plate is the kit supplied plate. I marked the breaking lines with a knife and simply broke the plate by hand making sure to brake the same direction (inwards) as the plate would have broken in real life.

Hey everybody,
Here's my work over the weekend

Kind of dumb! Got excited once the hull was finished and put the interior in.
Then, of course, I remembered that no one will see it. So I yanked what I could out (just in case I build another and need the rudimentary kit parts) and stashed them. Of course, that stash probably weighs in at 25 lbs. of leftover plastic that I'm saving for that one special project.
I wish I wasn't like this...

And some major progress this weekend.

I slammed it together and it was ready for paint Wednesday night. Washed and did a little drybrush Thursday night, and Saturday I sawed it in half.
I just need to get the track spewing out and finish painting.

Hey David, Like the Tiger.
Calling this one done until I can put its Diorama together.

Should look OK lying in a drainage ditch off the road.
