Hi;
I have both and I can say they´re all very good (anyone!), but the Tamiya offers the mechanic set and a fully detailled motor....
If I gonna buy one right now I would stick with the Tamiya, but sometimes you can find the Italeri model at very fair prices....
The Dragon models I didn´t know nothing...
Cheers

Here in France, you find the italeiri one for 10€ and the tamiya for 20€...
So as I'm not representing the hood open, I went for italeiri.

I don't know the new TAMIYA but between the old one and ITALERI I prefer the last one, because it have finer details.

I have built two Tamiya Kubelwagon's. One was just a stand alone, but I soon realized that it needed to be in a diorama to seem useful. So I built another one. It is a good kit.

yeah some clarification may be needed.....from what i understand tamiya do a couple of 1/35 scale kits and the 1/16 scale kit. Im working on the bigger one now......so far a very good kit. Ideal for anyone like me who hasnt done any scratch building or modificatons to a kit before. Not that this one needs it but in this scale its great to work with. The desert tyres look kool too.

I had no idea what a Kubelwagen was until a few weeks ago... call me a buckethead. If I brought a model of one of those home, my mom would look at it and say, 'cute!'......

See? So I´m not the only one that thinks some armor can be cute!
C´mon. What else can it be if it´s a Volkswagen with looks of a soap and the most dangerous weapon in it is the shovel! Oops. I don´t know if there are heavier weapons in Kubel, I was talking about the Schwimmie...both as cute as they come.

So, what would you say are the best respective Kubelwagen and Schwimmie kits? (I hope I spelled those right) I've been surfing the gallery again and I think that it would be fun to build those. I'd prefer to do them in 1/35. I think you said earlier that the two best kits were Tamiya and, uh, I don't remember the other one.... (help me.... :-) )

dragon............they got a bunch of them. i like tamiya's schwimmwagen and dragon's kubelwagen..............your spelling is not that bad. oh yeah, dragon adds photoetch and extra parts for other variants.

Tamiya Schwimm 1/35 is great. I discovered many details in there when I was finishing the paintwork!
Yeah! Though I think it would be more cute if it had a cannon shooting tomatoes!
(Joe Pesci voice:)Ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok.
No more transvestiting masculine vehicles!
