Hi, I hace just received my Tasca Sherman Jumbo and must say what a fabulous kit it is. I have also built one of Tascas earlier Sherman M4A1's and is equally as good. Am I right in saying that all Jumbos would have had the later raised roller arm? Also, the kit gives you the option of raising the heat deflector at the rear of the tank. When would the crew actually have it in the raised position? Thank you in anticipation. Stevie.

All Jumbos would've used the raised return roller bracket. The exhaust deflector would be raised when accessing the engine compartment door in the rear plate.

Fabulous quick reply. I thought that was the case with the raised roller arm. I was hoping to use them on one of my other Shermans. Oh well.

Tasca sells the VVS bogies with raised arms separately, you know.

Thanks Roy. Tasca sell a complete set of bogies, wheels etc. I just wanted the actual bogies with raised arms as I already have all the other gubbins from my previous Sherman kits. I have about 3 sets of the early bogies already! It was just an idea. Thanx you, Stevie.
