Stunning work so far Tha!!! You're very skill with AB, I really envy you!
What colours did you use for this?
I was waiting for the Trumpeter kit and my stash actually is full but you and your build are tempting me to buy the Zvezda kit...
Congrats
I really hope that you are going to do a dio with your model
Jacques
Have you noticed the water bottle on his legs?
Comfortable indeed...

come on guys, it isn't that good
thanks you made me blush
update, added a layer of Sols, it's a kind of Klear, it's used to clean and make shine wood and vinyl floors, it works great as a protective film
then a wash of beige oilpaint,in the holes and around raized parts, then some drybrushing here and ther with green yellow and brown oilpaints, to enhance the colours and to sharpen the borders ,then a couple of passes with the ab with revell earthtone aquapaint, heavily diluted, stronger on the lower hull, just passing over from far ontop, then(not happy with the look) I added some home made pigment/plaster mix to the lower hull and wheels, fixed them with Zippo fuel, ten gave them another coat of Revell earthtone, to get them together in tone
still got some chipping, and oilstains ect to do, but it looks good to me so far

well, here's an updte, I'll post it here, as it is a continuation of the topic
some base work for Bmp, I'm not 100 procent happy with the layout, and may change the Bmp for another vehicle later on, but it'll do for now
first I put Bmp in colours, then working with some foam, plaster, acrylic gel,and some variaties of grasses, fixing them with hair laquer
added a sign for a citylimits and a thrown away cola can
sorry for short text,I'm currently in a plaster, ripped my ligaments of my thumb
I got inspired by the georgian camo
made a "sign"
backside
the can on a stick
base
base with sandpaper asphalt
and with sign and can
well that's it for now, letting it ripe in the glass cubboard and we'll see laterz

Great little scene Tha Pit! I think the angle you've set things at is very nice and the sign is great too.
The only thing I can say is that the road appears too clean. Some pigments or drybrushing would dirty it up a bit, if you so wish.
Nice work overall though!

I never liked that kit even though it is one of my favorite AFV's. You did a really good job with yours, and that diorama really adds to the feel of it.
I keep hoping that one day a company will be willing to make a new tooling BMP 1 and 2 that requires little work to make a really accurate representation.
Kinda wish I held on to mine now that I've seen your build though...

... anything russian , new tooled accurate and plastic is welcome for me
Yes, any new-tooled kits are welcomed for us all.
(I hope, that Trumpeter will hear that)
I prefer soviet and russian air-defence and artillery in plastic.
To your diorama:
It looks great so far!
Yes, the street looks a bit to clean.
What about some color-splashes? (I can not translate that exactly)
"asphalted" roads have some different colors and often have small cracks or different colors.
Also the BMP, the scene and the diorama looks great!
I also built this kit about 10 years ago.
greetings...
Soeren
