Hi all,
Here's a Stummel I build. It's supposed to depict a vehicle of the "Das Reich" Division in Normandy in 1944. They were involved in the fighting around Falaise and supposedly used this type of vehicle in that period. By using some dark washes, I tried to give the vehicle a grim appearance.
I build this kit out of the box. The only thing I replaced are the tracks. I used tracks from a Dragon kit, because the ones supplied in the kit aren't really detailed. The figure is an oldy from Tamiya. I know his shoulderboards don't officially match the type of jacket he's wearing, but I gues that in war, anything goes... Anyway, here are the pictures:

Nice one, Marnix!
I really like the overall look, the weathering and the interior. I just have one major remark; too few pictures!
More,please!

That's one beautiful shelf queen. I've been working on my first halftrack for nearly a year, now. Your build raises my standard.

It's almost a shame not to put this one on a "natural" base, but the current base really sets your stunning work off. The figure really adds a great feel to your build as well.

Hi Max GREAT WORK. I've seen loads off photos, pictures of shoulder boards on the 42 black panzer jacket. the white branch colour on the boards shows him as being in the Infantry (MOT) which used stummels to help out the 251's of the panzer grenadiers. Again Love you 251/9

What washes did you use? I like the weathering on this one.
