Here she is, the 30 year old Italari 1/35th kit. Everything went well,. A fun build with a bit of flash here and there to clean up along with injection marks , fair fit, until I got to the decals that were in the box for 30 years. I covered the acrylic paint with future then applied the THICK decal. It was having problens snugging down, so I used a bit of solvaset. That just made the decals curl up. Belive it or not, they are so thick I was able to lay them back down #:-) and covered them with future to set them.
BTW this is my first Air brushed work. Enjoyed the process once I figgured out what I was doing . Could still use some pointers.
Here she is..Outa box and Looking a bit fagged and shagged....
The panzer is sitting on a base I made for my other Barb build, the 222
As always, all comments and sugestions are welcome

Very good assembly and paint job. The decals look fine in the pictures, despite your adventures with them. Also, very nice ground work. You might want to use a drop of superglue with accelerator to snug the tracks down on the drive and idler wheels and return rollers.

Nice - wish my 1st AB use was that good. I like the tank and think it came out very well. From the photos I can't tell any problems.
On the tank I would touch up the alignment tabs (? - tracking tabs - the little tabs on the inside of each track link) with some ground color pastels. In the photo they look a bit to clean.
The base is Great. The road and rocks are very nicely done. The grass is a bit monotone and bit bright (could be the photo so, you need to decide). I might touch it up with a bit of forest green dry brushing.
Nice entry for Barbarosa

The decals have turned out quite well. If it wasnt for your comments, it would not look like there was nay problems. As AJLaFleche has already pointed out, the tracks would look better if they were glued down onto the return rollers. Slip in some superglue and wedge a little cardboard between track top and fenders. The teeth seem to be brighter at the bottom than those at the top in pic. 2. Photograph problem??
Overall it is a lovely little dio and eventhough Im with the heavy weathering crowd ..... I like the contrast in colours. Only thing I would recommend is the inclusion of a figure somehow. To me thats the element that adds life to any work!

Lord Glue aka "El Diablo"
Wow! I have been looking forward to this one for a bit and it looks great. Congrats on the airbrush ---plus you are a Jedi "Brush Master" as well---a pretty potent combination--and it shows on this model.
Decals---you mentioned the problems in chat---but they look great! Your dry brush/ high light work always impresses the heck out of me, and your ability to blend different shades of grey is just so well done.
Only nit concerns the rear muffler---is there a slight seam visible running from left to right, or are the real mufflers folded like this, therefore the seam is exactly where it should be?
Sel---this is very very good work, a product of your usual high standards---congrats on completing the Barb build Sir!!!!

Lord Se,
This is very very nice. I espeically like the dry brushing, the only thing is the tracks, Al is right just glue the tracks back on the wheels then you have a show winning piece here.
Great work.

Good work Sel. One of your best I should say. I like the rust effect you have going there, it seems like it would be difficult on a tank like this, but yours looks convincing.
I agree with the others that the tracks should be glued down (if superglue won't work you can try something thicker that takes longer to dry (like epoxy or Elmers Fix-All) you'd just need to weight the tracks down with something (I use a metal spatula with coins on top :-) ) while it's drying). I like the drybrushing, too, but I think the contrast could just be a little much in some areas, like the boltheads, but this is mainly a personal preference.

nice. i'd just dirty up the shovel some more with pastels and drybrushing make it look rusty or like it's just been digging.

I like your job,Sel.
To me the seam looks like the light laying off the roundness of the muffler. On a few rubber band tracked vehicles I sometimes use thread, threaded through the track, under a torsion bar arm, then back up to tye the track down.
Well, you have taken to the Airbrush like a pro,now....

Sel:
Great execution on an old kit. You handled it very well from building to painting. I really like it.
Just to add to the others excellent suggestions, you might want to take a small pinvise drill bit and drill out the ends of the machine guns just a bit. That always adds a nice little touch.
Keep up the great work!
John
