HI all,
After complete the Pz3 N diorama, i decided to build a small scale one, which gonna contain a Kingtiger tank, abandoned truck in the lake and some soldiers,
i just have a image in my head and i can't explain it clearly but,i'll try to make this build log clear enough
i start with the tank
Dragon kit 7362
contains a kingtinger and 4 paratroopers of great quality
the kit may be the best choice in this scale.
PE parts from ET model for upgrades. barrel from RB model
those PE parts are just too small to handle, and it really takes a long time to finish
this barrel looks really cool
this is what i got so far.C&Cs will be appreciated.
Eric

oh wow!!!!
That's really 1/72 in the 21st century.........if I remember the old Airfix kits in the plastic bag..!!! And nobody knew anything about PE!!
Now you have PE buckles on tie-downs for 1/72 vehicles!!
I love Braille (if the others do it )
Looks fascinating already...can't wait to see progress!!!!!
Cheers

Wow, that's quite the PE extravaganza you've got going there. I had the same problem with some very tiny pieces of PE on a DML Sherman I just finished for the Braille Battlefield campaign. I ended up using sowing pins to place the PE, but the amount of glue you have to use to avoid ugly globs is so small that it took me several tries. How did you manage to do it (e.g. the buckles on the tie-downs)?

Thanks Romain,
yeah, those PE parts really bring life to the model, voyager even got PE tracks for T34 in 1/72.
HI Mark
A shaped toothpick, fine wire and a tweezer, this is all i need.
i got a tiny little bit of glue on the toothpick or wire each time and let it run into the gaps between parts,no problem, just not handy.
someone told me to try these
hope they can help

What did you use for towing cable? It looks pretty good too. I have some wire rope that looks good in larger scales, but no luck for 1/72 yet.

80%finished tank
it's really hard to make realistic look on an 1/72scaled kit
as it‘s so small that i decided to make more exaggerated effect than 1/35kit, so that the small details can stand out.
I'm not satisfied with the fine chips and will fix it later.
thanks for watching.

hi anthony
well, preiser figures in 1/72 are fabulous, great sharp details, multiple assemble choices and vivid posturs.costs a little more, but it's worthy. Caesar figures on the other hand, details are good,(except equipments like guns etc), already assembled, and much cheaper.the only problem is that caesar use some "soft plastic"(PP?)which is nightmare for removing molding lines.
BTW,Dragon 72 figures are fantastic, just don't know why they're not sold as separated kits.

these are looking great loving the weathering on the tank looks really good and realistic
