guys
ive had this jumbo on the shelf for a few years and some dragon hvss and a 17 pder barrel
so i thought why not
i extended the rear of the engine compartment like the yugoslave diesel conversions to take a much more powerful engine as a standard jumbo is underpowered
all comments welcome

Nice Andrew! Not sure if you're a campaign man, but if you are then you should get this build over to the What If 2 campaign pronto

Andrew,
Great idea! If you want to take it "all the way" then you need to add counter-weights to the rear of the turret to balance that big long gun. The Firefly had its radio moved to a box at the back that acted as the extra weight, and this made a bit more room inside the turret for the recoil.
Looking forward to your progress!

Another interesting "What If"........ You should recess the gun mount back about 5 scale inches to be proper. The Mantlet on the Jumbo was really thick and the gun mount would have been further back.

guys thanks for your comments
i think ill try and recess the barrel bach a bit
i should have known that
id also thought as the jumbos turret is 5 inches thick all round it would be stable enough to not need a rear counter weight but im just guessing
id also thought theres enough room...just... for the radio but im just guessing again
i was also thinking of putting some more armour on the hull sides but im not sure yet..ill put it in the whatif campaign section too
regards andrew
