Does anyone have experience with the "Vallejo Airbrush" series ? I don't mean the usual Vallejo paint, but the special airbrush version.
I found it on the web for sale in the UK, in Germany... but I can't find it in Belgium
Is it better than the usual Vallejo stuff ?
Does anyone have experience with the "normal" Vallejo paint for airbrushing ? I had problems when trying it with my Aztek, even when it was thinned. Or am I doing it wrong ?

I use it (Model Air) and works very well. Usually I apply it right out of the bottle. If you want to thin it, use only Vallejo Thinner.

Hi GeneralFailure I use the "nornal" vallejo paint at times and have no problems with my Aztec. It does seem to need thinning a bit more than usual though. There was a thread on this recently and i did a mini experiment with them to see what i thought was best to thin them with. Its near the end of the thread.

The results were OK and i am only just starting out with an airbrush.
Hope this helps

Hi GeneralFailure,
I have been airbrushing with Vallejo model paint for about 6 months now. In the begining
I used special acryl thinner, but this does't react well with Vallejo. I use Insta-net, the bleu stuff for cleaning windows, (Windex in the U.S.) And I never had any problems sins.
I thin rato 40 paint - 60 thinner.
If you still want Vallejo airbrush I can give you an adress here in belgium.

Jan,
I've tried them and I do not feel very confortable with them. As Chipotle I prefer the normal ones...

Thanks, Nescio !
Yes, I'm still very interested in finding a place in Belgium that sells Vallejo Airbrush paint !
I'm very curious ...
Jan
PS : Welcome to Armorama. I hope you feel at home here. It's a wonderful site and there's a growing community of Belgian and Dutch modelers.

Hi Jan,
I've tried the Vallejo Model Air paints, and they were a complete disaster. They just did not seem to stick. The paint seemed to "bead up" like water on a waxed car. I tried it on washed, bare plastic, and with two different types of primers. The results were just terrible, and i would never use them again. One person suggested that maybe it was humidity in the air that caused me so much problem, but I don't know.
