I am planning on mounting a T1E1 mine roller on a Sherman for an upcoming campaign. But, I have only managed to locate one photo of the rig and it doesn't show how it was mounted. Any pictures or info would be much appreciated. TIA.

the milicast model is another $$ I won't pay to see how it attaches. I've already looked at the scratchbuild thread. It doesn't have great photos and the build was never started.

Matt: you're aware that the T1E1 was meant to be mated on an M32, right? The T1E3 was mounted on Shermans -- big difference....

Yes I am aware of that, but as Phill stated, it was mounted on both and the M32 is based on a Sherman hull.

Do you have any period pics ?
AFAIK, the M32 crane was used to lift the T1E1 rollers, for instance out of the crater resulting from the mine explosion (something you couldn't do with a Sherman )...

Here's a little book that may be worth a look :

As I stated, the T1 was used attached to the hull of the M32. The M32 was based on a Sherman hull.

Yes Matt, but both Phill and you have also stated that the T1E1 was fitted to Shermans tanks as well...I'd be happy to see some pics showing that.

You are correct. I found one fuzzy photo, but the source code labelled it as a M32.
