This was a completed project I have started few years ago... Just want to share it with Armorama members.
It all started with an idea to build a diorama about town hall in France just before D-day .
Build an underground tunnel fist and made it from gypsum plaster by using a plastic pipe. Then I carved brick pattern in to it and painted before joining two parts
Then I used styrofoam to support the base
Adding a scratch build wall beside the river bank from gypsum and placed the building bases.
Paving stones are applied one by one until I recognized to take a mold from a 10X10 patern
The base for statue.
Bridge support
This is how I made the stairs & stone wharf at the river wall:
its carved and ready to go
Addind details....

Hey Cem, I like this one. Looks good so far. Your statue base is real nice and the poles and chain around it are a nice touch. Look forward to seeing more.

Black was the base color:
Weathering on the wall and some moss at the water limit...

Many thanks John, Bob and Karl. There are many more to come…
I added a branch and garbage bin on the wharf. It’s a cliché but there will be something missing without it
The statue and trees are temporary and will be changed shortly.....
Changed the statue with Napoleon Bonaparte 1/32 scale figure and painted to oxides bronze.
WATER EFFECT
Now it’s the fun part.... Making water is something I attempt couple of times and it’s really a pain on the....
I applied earth, placed a fuel drum on the river bed. Then sealed the base of diorama with paste and placed aluminum profiles to avoid any linkage. (I won’t like that happen)
Vaseline or wax allows removing the profiles easy after water effect dries.
On its one I used MAGIC WATER. It dry’s slow. You need to protect it from dust. Cover the top with plastic bag while drying.
It mixes well with acrylic paint. I mixed the first layer with green. (*Used the color with very small amounts other wise I may lose the transparency of water.)

Hi Cem,
Did is some serious project. Wow, how much does that weight with all that plaster!
Your carving is very well executed. No visible errors, that's good.
I am really looing forward how you will fill that space with life.
Well done until now
Claude

Hi Claude ,
Many Thanks...
Even though the plaster I use is a low density, it still weights allot
I love the plaster. Its cheep, good for carving and leveling but now days I try to use lighter solutions.
I will fill the space with Resting German Infantry, Tiger crew, Figures lined up on field kitchen and passing 8ton half truck with crew and towed flak 88
Couple of civilians on street and resistants members inside the tunnel.
By the way I admire your works.

Cem, That is a very AWESOME project you have going. So many nice little thought of touches. The rings to tie up boats, the Napoleon statue and the chains around it. the railings. The furniture in the ruins ( I might have "ripped" the fabric and had stuffing coming out of one chair), the Blessed Virgin picture and cross on the walls. And probably 20 other details that I missed that make up your great piece of art. Thank you for sharing both the dio and how you did it tips. No wonder your "call sign" is Mozart you are the Maestro !

Hi again.
Thanks for the comments every one specially to Tom about the “ripped fabric and stuffing coming out of one chair”
I will try to update the topic and finalize ASAP.
Because presently there is another project I’m working on. It’s about a “1/35 scale German Rail Station” and will share the step by step updates on a new topic
Any way,
The FLAK 36
