Nice clean build! I like the rusting on the tracks and muffler.
How were the kit decals? I didn't put them on my BT because some of them went to battle unmarked.

This kit looks almost the same as the Zvezda BT-7.
You have done great job with a crappy kit! How did you paint the tracks? They look really nice! I´m gonna make the BT-7 for the Trench campaign with the same paint scheme.
Could you list the paints you used for base colour, washes and drybrushing? I want to make my tank look as good as this one!
Venom, MY tank WILL have lots of mud and rust!
Job well done!
Toni

Thank you everyone for the comments.
Jeepney: The kit decals were horrible. It looked like the glue was coming off of the decals and they had a awful frosted look to them. I used a ton of micro sol and when that did not help I used a lot of Future. The Future saved the decals, but it was touch and go for a while.
Envar: First, this is an Italeri re-box of the Zvezda kit. I used Model Master Russian Armor Green for the base coat. For washes I used a combination of Burnt Umber and Black oil washes. I used the burnt umber to cover the entire kit. I have found that this will add a brownish tint to the base coat. I used the black wash for panel lines and the grill. For the exhaust I used pastels. On the tracks I used a red oxide primer for the base coat, then dry brushed Testors silver. Then I used an acrylic black wash, followed by a pastel/water mix.

Very impressive finish to this vehicle. Colours look great and the decals came out well, after all your work. The only thing that lets this kit down is the lights. Maybe a few layers of clear gloss would add a glass-like surface???
The tracks look amazing. Are they link for link?? I am quite tempted to give this a go!

Nice work here. I like your Russian green tone. Looks like cool BT-5 kit. Have wondered how the Eastern Express BT-5 and BT-7 kits are ? Compared to the Italeri/Zvezda. Looks like this kit was a fun build. I would maybe drybrush some MM Steel on the track where they come in contact with the ground. Hard to tell from the photos, but other then that, you did a great job.
Cheers !

Very nice build, excellent work. The paint makes that tank look like it is actually metal. When it looks like that you know you have done a fine job.
