Hay Chris,

not too difficult. The nets would hang off of frames (clearly), the nets themselves would be the easy part. The difficult part would be reference shots of the mounting points for the frames... once you have that, its in the bag. So to speak...

If you can get the photos, I'd model it!

Thanks all of you, mates.
Nice shot. How do you think to build that net? Are spheres those, I'm looking to? For me the most intricate building concerns the nets. How do you put the spheres among the grilles?

They aren't spheres, they are little blackish hexagon slugs of some sort of heavy metal. You could essentially use in-scale string for the in bewtween netting.

You guys are right, its a net made of strong string, with metal hexagons at each string intersection. The net is attached to the frame with velcro. There's an opening in the net so one can reach through and open the doors. Our uniforms have velcro on the cuffs, and I always get stuck when I reach through to open the door. There was also a section of netting installed in front of the winshield, but we took it down because we were going crosseyed while driving!!
Since I'm first and foremost a modeller, as soon as the nets were installed I was trying to figure out how to replicate them. I was thinking of using brass mesh. That way you could realistically show the sag in the netting. Just my two cents. Do you think that would work?
