Well I finally got something finished. It's differant from what I usually do for sure but it came out the way I wanted it to. All comments/constructive critique is welcome and appreciated. All questions asked will be answered as best I can. Enjoy!
Off the coast of Newfoundland............just above the Arctic Circle.............it's............. SUPPERTIME!!
Kole does a little 'happy dance' as he snags his dinner the way Mom taught him some years ago. The fatal mistake the Ringed seal made was thinking the water was 'safe', so he blew a few air bubbles to the surface to induce a waiting Polar bear into a false start. The seal didn't realize his plump body made a perfect target sillouette against his airhole ice ceiling that was backlit by the bright Arctic sun.
He never thought about a 5 ton Orca charging up from below at 50mph.............
It was over in an instant.............
Dinner is served................
I'll have more photos on my site at Flickr!-Delta Diorama Studios, soon.

Very unusual but nicely exicuted. Not all modeling has to be military and this is breaks the circle well. I think a bit more water at the orccas bottom would show more forced movement as he came through but this as it is is well done. Are the animals from Brittons or someone else? I have be toying with the idea of a vignett without figures or vehicals and yours has that going though my mind again. Good job on this one, thanks for showing it.

I did indeed want to make the water more severely animated but suffered a mental block on how to achieve it and not overwhelm the ice hole, etc. The Orca is a modified generic toy that got a new finish. The Ringed seal is my first sculpt using epoxy putty and paint brush bristles. All finishes are enamel and acrylics.
Cheers!

Thank you Jean-Bernard! I've been wondering where you've been and thought that Parenthood had swallowed you up! (it can do that!)
