Hi
I'm trying an OOB building of Trumpeter's kit, but need some advice about its actual configuration, as seen deployed on the field
On the top of the vehicle, Trumpeter gives you a device that looks like a mounting for a protected light, kind of a warning red rotating one
If yo take a look at the box art you can see what I mean, I don't know how to explain this in a better way
Is this installed on operating vehicles or only on prototypes?
Thanks for your help!

The light is used in Germany (and Korea) when driven on civilian roads as a warning beacon. It is not usually installed in Iraq or A'stan.

Ah, ok. It is actually the yellow CVKI (Combat Vehicle Kill Indicator) light and controller box as part of the MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System) training system. It is not installed on vehicles in combate either, just in training scenarios.
Check this thread for more info on Stryker MILES Gear.

Thank you again Gino!
I supposed that it was something like that
Great link also to that old tread about the MILES system
"Last" question: any of the NBC Strykers carry slat armor or any other add-on armor like the MPK or the DEK? TFSS?
Best regards

Some of the work done so far, and some pics of the figures I'm dealing with to place with this vehicle. Still a long way to go
Let me know what do you think about my attempt of ACU cammo
Not too happy with the color of their pouches and stuff, any suggestions there? Still lots of filters, washes and details to make
Any comments, critics and advice, will be really welcome

Hi there Hugo,
Greetings from Trinidad and Tobago. Great work so far. I love the non skid effect. Does the figures come with the kit? If not, where do they come from?

Hi Kurt
Thank for your comments
The kit comes with no figures at all, these ones are a mix of various kits: Dragon old Modern US Marines, Trumpeter old US 101st Airborne Division, and Trumpeter Modern US Army AFV Crew & Infantry, the gas masks are sculpted with epoxy putty, knee pads made with styrene...
Still have to add some details and weapons, maybe I'll make a kneeling soldier, I did not decide yet the final layout of the model and the figures

Hugo,
Great Job. You are a real model builder. I appreciate anybody who uses what is available and turn it into something unique and great at the same time. There are more negative comments about those figure sets than positve but you have shown what can be done with a little care and skill. Hope you post more of your work.
