Hello
Thank you for your pictures and your commentary -
I love your scratch work and cables. I have been away from modeling for many years and forum topics like yours are very helpful and give me inspiration.
I always loved building half tracks when I was younger and this kit is going in my stash next pay day.
I hope I can work like you and as fast as you soon.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Daniel

This looks to be a great kit, even out of the box, and the extra details & work you have added are really worthwhile improvements.

Your log here will be a great help to anyone wanting to build one of these to a higher standard.

Looking forward to your next update

cheers

Hi everyone.

I spray a netcamo on my sWS.
Donīt know about how realistic it is on a sWS. But i like to use it on this model because i think about it a few time ago to using my new spraygun. Itīs better than the last.
I think the lines are good enough for free hand spraying a 1/72 scale model.

Here the pictures. The greentone looks a little bit grey on the pics. Because of the photolights. They are ok but not so good as real sunlight.

Hope it is interesting for you. Thanks for watching!

Cheers Daniel

Hi Daniel

very nicely completed lines for freehand, must be a good airbrush and steady hand you have there.

I think those lines are a great choice for this vehicle. Something about the vehicle shape suits this pattern.

Daniel, excellent job on the camouflage. It takes a real master and a good airbrush to get those results , especially in this scale. Will any of the hatches be open on the finished model? After all the work you put into detailing the interior it would be a shame for it to not be visible. Thanks for sharing and can't wait for the next instalment.

Cheers,
Jan

Good evening

@Jan: The hatches will be open.

Last days i do a lot of work on my sWS.
Chipping, washing and pigments.
I glue the dipsticks later on it, because Iīm good in breaking some little parts.
Figures now ready, too.
Now i have to do the diorama. There is a lot of work to do......
Sorry, the pictures are a little bit overexposed because of unnatural light.
here the pictures!!!

good night!

Whoa

not much to say about this - except it looks excellent !

what figures were you going to use ?

I'll be interested to see the diorama, sounds like you have a bit of work planned...

Someone said to me that a good diorama takes as long to get done as the model (or models) that go on it take to get completed...

cheers

Simply excellent!

One comment though. I think you can find better MG than the one you have used. Don't you have anything in the spares box? Check out your Dragon left overs.

Hey

@Korpse: Thank you Korpse. I will use the Preiser-figures: Panzerbesatzungen Deutsches Reich 1939-45. Three of them. I change the arms and legs. Now i get the positions I need for the vignette. I donīt think that the vignette will be a good one.
It is only a scene about reloading the Panzerwerfer. Bad is that the backdoors are glued. :-( That is a mistake. But lets see what is coming out. ;-)

@Alexander: Thank you for posting. It is not the MG 34 from Maco. I use the Preiser MG 34. For me it is a good one in this scale. The proportions are exactly.
Maco MG was a bad one.

@SchoeniR6 – Daniel,

Been silently following your progress on this build and am very impressed with your work. I like the scratch built and modified tools, the detailed and modified Panzerwerfer 42 – you even when the extra mile and replicated the angle adjustment linkage. Great tip on using the aluminum paper for making tool holders – that material can be used for a number of other things! The net camouflage scheme is outstanding! The final weathering on the vehicle is also outstanding! Waiting to see your figures and the vignette.

Thanks for posting and sharing.
Happy Modeling,
~ Eddy

Hi everyone

Thanks for the many posts here. Glad you like it.

The figures are form preiser. The stowage is scratch and the weapons also from preiser. A few little things maybe come on the diorama in the future. But only a few. Maybe some more bush and a roadsign. We will see.
So here the final pictures. Hope you like it.

The finished diorama

Finish!!!!

Daniel, absolutely stupendous results. I've seen larger scale models at shows that win prizes that don't come near the detail that your build shows. Great job and thanks for sharing all the progress pictures and step by step information. Blogs like this are worth their weight in gold.

Daniel, your work is exceptional, man this is awesome. Braille is such a difficult scale to work with especially painting and detailing but you make it look easy! Congratulations!

Absolutely gorgeous, Daniel. As others have mentioned, the base and figures are as good as the vehicle itself.

Hi Daniel

The base looks really great. The sandy soil with the type of grass you put on it is very faithful to what grows on sandy soil in nature, it looks very convincing, and realy complements the model, the camo is perfect for the scene. I also like how the base is 3 dimensional with different heights, and a well painted figure or two also always bring a scene to life.

Dioramas are often hard work, but this goes to show how a well made diorama can enhance what was already a beautifully crafted and painted model.

cheers
Neil
