Hi Santiago. Great to see the next steps in your dio. I remember well when you showed the hut first and have been waiting for updates ... you´ve been missed. So many great Vietnam figures have been released in the mean-time ... all with your name on them

Hey Frank, thank you for your comment. Really, the Vietnam figures of Vladimir Demchenko and some other russian makers are very good, but the problem is that I´m a very lazy modeller, and I have projects defined from some years ago, so I have a lot of work to do with my stock models and figures ...( a dio with MACV-SOG recon team, another with a UH-1 picking up the crew of a downed OH-6, the crew of a downed Cobra shooting to a Vietcong party looking for souvenirs in the cockpit of the chopper, and more and more).

Keep tuned for more updates

Santiago

Santiago, this looks really great and the attention to detail is right on! I'm a big Nam dio lover too and given your past work, this baby is gonna be HOT! Love the layout and composition, flows very well and the "Little Bird" crew will top it off. Watchin for the next installment.

Cheers, Ski.

Hello and thank you.

If I´m not wrong, you made the great dio of the marines figthing around the gate of the Hue citadel ???? It was a very good diorama man, with a great look of the soldiers, tank, ground and buildings, the best dio of Hue I ever see.

Hue battle is one of my favorite themes, but I would like to do something about the fight in the Wall of the old city and not in the gates.

Thank you very much.

Santiago

I can’t wait to see this one complete, it is just so well planed and so well executed!!!

How are you planning on making the chopper hover?

Thak you James ¡¡

I´m very happy with your comments, because I love your vietnam dioramas, especially the one of the nva shoot down with a browing 0.45 ( "Too close to comfort" was the title ????). Those dios were a great inspiration for me ...

Santiago

Hello Santiago,

Wow, you remember the "Too Close for Comfort" vignette! That was quite a while ago. I'm happy to hear that it was a source of inspiration for you. That comment means alot to me. Your diorama is an inspiration for me, as I usually do small vignettes, now I am attempting a larger diorama. As long as like-minded modelers keep inspiring each other to create better models and dioramas, the posibilities are endless.

Cheers,
James

Thank you for your comment. About the helicopter, it´s making a high speed low level fly over the target, with the gunner ready to open a red smoke can for marking the target for the other part of the pink team (AH-1 Cobra gunship).

The tail rotor will be a clear plastic disc, and still thinking how to do the moving main rotor ...

Thank you

If this is a mock-up, I can't wait to see the finished product! Really outstanding work! How did you create such realistic flora?
