We can and do stop them pretty regularly, but there will be some new anti-spam systems coming online in the next few months. We have made a change though so that when we ban/suspend a user all their created topics are going to be removed automatically. Also there we no less than 20 or so of these spam accounts set up the same day recently, so I will be looking at creating some kind of account spam prevention system that stops more than 2 sign-ups using the same IP within a certain time frame.

That said even with our current system we click one button and they are gone from the site and forums.

I also banned their IPs for good measure. China I'm afraid.

Very Strange.
I'll keep an eye on this one.
He joined in March 2011, I can't figure out why all of a sudden he decided to post several spam appearing messages out of nowhere, and they are his only posts. (I'll give the benefit of doubt that maybe he's just over enthusiastic over that kit. ---- for now at least --- but will keep an eye on him) Maybe Jim's warning will convince him to knock it off.

He's now dis-barred.

misma mierda de siempre

I'm going to sticky this for all the members to post their spam findings. I'm also going to re-title it so the member can find it easier.

Not sure where to post this; It's not really a "spammer," but a "re-direct" type issue.

I've been getting more and more re-directs to various renditions of this site:

When using the back arrow to navigate around on different KitMaker web-sites. I'm using IE 9 and have up-to-date Norton's anti-virus / anti-spy ware intstalled, but I suppose it could still be an issue at my end and not with the KitMaker net. However, I only have this issue with KitMaker sites (Armorama and Historicus Forma).

Anyways, thought I'd tell someone...

Mike, I sent it to Jim to figure it out, as it's above my skill level, and understanding.
Hope that helps a little.

I'm seeing net_buy_model... I'm wondering if there's a connection to facebook. It seems to be sitting on forums without actually being in them, which I guess means it's on the forums page.
