this looks excellent, did you use brand named pieces to build this up or from scratchbuilt pieces of wood ? Looks better than my home !

Amazing job!
But did you use photos? For me it looks like houses of Rouen but some details are not 'french' like the road (which look like a modern road but not a second world war road).

I hope you undestand what I try to explain you and I don't want that you think it's a bad advice from me (my english is too poor so what I write can be missunderstanding).

As I say your job is really amazing.

Merde alors !
Superb work you've done.
Do you where the real photo has been taken ? North east of France ? Belgian border ?
Best,
Julien

No problem Patrice you can comments and ciritzase as much as you want. I took the road from miniart i think it can ber perfectly a road from france.

Hi Xavier,

I will try to explain you what's wrong.
The road is a modern paved road that you can see today in the rebuild towns centers.

In the '40 that kind of old houses (XV th century) where very dirty and the road pavment was usually the original one or was made during the XVIII th century.
Youy road is too clean (no holes for example), the pavment must be disrepair and irregular and the cobblestones must be perpendicular to the edges of the road and not on the diagonal (the diagonal is a modern way done for touristic areas).

Then, I think that the disposition of your diorama will be better if the road and the houses will not be parallel to the edges of the diorama.

I think you must forget the miniart road and you must try to engrave it in wet plaster. Same thing for the sidewalk. I think you will improve your diorama with this kind of modifications.

Sorry for my poor english. I never post because I'm not sure that my opinion will be clerely understood and I'm afraid about that people missunderstood what I try to explain.

Best regards.
