Hi All
Well, I finally got around to taking some decent photos of this build. Here is just a few of them for you all to see. You will find plenty more on my website.
But to refresh your minds on this one, here's a brief run down of it. The tank is a Revell Soviet KV-1 built out of the box. The German tank repair crew and Russian ammo boxes are from ModelArt. The mule, oil drums and jerry cans are from Tamiya, with etched buckets from PlusModel. The base is scratch-built using MDF cover with car body filler, finished with sand, granite ballast, scenic scatter and grass tufts.
Please enjoy and sorry for the wait for decent photos of this.
Mick

Looks awesome. I love the white markings (supposed to be chalk I'm guessing?) that are around the yellow numbers to help align them. Also, the spilled paint can is a nice touch. You also did a great job with the weathering.

The composition of this diorama is really slick, and the little details such as the aforementioned chalk marks as well as the spilled paint can and the German hand painting the turret all really make this dio stand out. Your scale automotive background really shows in the overall clean finish of the diorama (weathering on the KV aside). I think that if you keep developing your painting skillset and focus on figures particularly you're going to be a true tour-de-force in this arena

Hey Mick, it was worth the wait! Very creative idea for a diorama and it looks to me like you pulled it off.

Interesting title and very good work!
The scene overall looks very interesting... the painter, who tries to remove the white colored text... details, like the new yellow color and its bucket, or the other bucket which lost its content.
Very nice scene with this captured vehicle!
greetings and thanks for sharing...

Some excellent work, here. It's nice to see that you made your figures dirty. Too many are very well detailed, as far as shading is concerned, but look like they were just issued their uniforms.

nice work, looking to do one similar to that for a while, haven't put down the idea yet. Might just do it on a trumpeter is3 kit sitting around
