Hi Olivier,
Nice build,The raised gun was a good idea.I have this one in the stash.Just recieved their second release and before starting your kit I was like a kid at xmas.I had to check out the added equipment.Very impressed. For the money you can't get better, the coolers are better than the resin ones I bought before and to get a figure is always a bonus that reminds me of Academy and Tamiya.
Here's a shot of the equipment.

Looks pretty nice. Good job on the weathering. The front and rear windows still need their rubber moldings though, esp. the rear window. All the raised lines on it need to be black rubber.

Hi guys,
Just about to finish up the pickup with equipment.Didn't use everything, but good to have.I would have changed some of the painting steps I did.Such as the rubber window mouldings. The right headlight and foglight I believe are lost forever.Tried to fill with Testors clear parts glue.Don't use those tweezers that lock on when you let go for tiny parts, because when they let go your part could be somewhere in another room.I have to still touchup the paint.Haven't started to weather.
Gino,to late for this one,but I thought at the time the painting instructions might be wrong for the back window. They say silver.I thought it should be black.I also wasn't sure about the windshield, that I can fix. Also, you would probably know,is the sniper gun size correct?

Nice job the both of you. How do you rate the figure, and is the figure's hands only meant for the M82A1 sniper rifle?

I guess the rear window trim could be chrome. Bare rsounds looks better to me based on where these trucks are. The chrome trim is a little more of a luxury/custom feature.
The sniper rifle is a Barrett M82A1 .50 caliber. Pretty effective weapon. It looks about right to me. It is a pretty big rifle.

The thing one has to remember about the SF version in Afghanistan (and again, we did not use these as our own gun trucks) is that no Hilux was ever sold new in that country. They came from every place else imaginable, in both right and left hand drive, sometimes legally but usually not. I've seen them from from your basic utility vehicle to a full on pimped out ride, so you leave the rear as you wish.
As for the Barrett, in bench rest competition -1/4 MOA. In actual usage, about 4, which is why it's not the weapon of choice in the anti-personnel role. It is however, great as an anti-materiel weapon. (think engine block scene from Blackhawk Down)

Gino, thanks.
Peter, the figure is quite good. Not up to resin standard but better than most included figures. The hands should take most weapons.I tried a couple before getting Gino's advise and they fit fine.
Ale,Nice work on yours. The rubber trim on the windshield makes a big difference.Aren't those door handles a pain to paint.
