I think that it would be nice in metallic grey ,Humbrol Metal Cote 27003 to be precise. Paint & polish & it comes out great. I´ve used it on smaller things & I know what a good result it is ,so to see it on something bigger must be AWESOME.

I agree. I like the color as well, especially since some of my AMF had one on this color.
I used actual Toyota matched colors for the Aoshima Hiluxes I built a few years ago. (lacking a Tacoma kit, I did what I could with the Hiluxes) Of course black is black, but whites can vary somewhat. The gold is for the one we named "Goldilocks." The black one was "Black Beauty."
Not very original I know.
Now I wonder if some enterprising person will come up with the idea of vinyl stencils for the graphics. They'd be re-usable and you could use any color you wanted. Way better than doing decals for these kits.
Oh, gratuitous shot of Goldilocks, except she's not looking quite as gold in this photo:

For the moment the assembly is ideally according to the instructions without any surprise. Several subsets: interior, chassis and canon ...

Looks nice olivier! How is the gun detail? I am wondering witch kit i want to buy, this one or the mig kit. The mig kit is beeing expensive and lacks detail on the chassis, but the door can be open. This kit is cheaper and has a nice gun on the back . I want to make one with a dual rocketpot on the back .

You have mounted the center console backwards. I like this kit. The mg is a kit in itself! Im debating which color to paint it. The kit takes me back to the days of building 1/24 cars....
Id agree with robert, a reusable vinyl masking for the decals. Theres alot of oppurtunity for the aftermarket guys too!

They are available now from just about every on-line supplier. They are only about $32, shipped, from Hobby Easy and Lucky Model.

I can think of a couple of things without even trying: spare tires, or alternate tires, and some insurgent figures to put in the cab and in the back.

Hi Olivier
Looking good. Can you explain why you raised the gun? Is this based on a reference picture or a fit issue?
Thanks
Sean

Very nice model!
But what about the window-frames? The black rubber around them is clearly visible on reference pictures. Did your forget to paint them?
