The Turks do have the M60T (SABRA Based) tank in service, and it is armed w/ a German developed 120mm smooth-bore.

No, Sabra is armed with Israeli developed MG253 120mm smooth-bore, not German.

Brain Fart:
Main gun is that Derived from IMI 120mm from Merkava
The engine is german MTU 881 installed by Turks

Vod;
Bear in mind the IAI Sabra comes as Mk 1,2,&3
The M60T is not an off the shelf Sabra, it has received its own tweeks from the Turkish arms Manufacturing Establishment
Different armor pkg, diff gun, diff Cmndr Cup.,diff smoke gren.,diff comms, diff. sights.
So once all this has been changed....is it a Sabra, Oh no wait that's right it's an M60 Patton ....silly me what was I thinking

From what research I have been able to do it does look like this is an attempt to revamp the M60-A3 called the M60-2000.It was suppose to give all the features of the M1 Abrams without the high price. There has been no interest so far from any nation.

Wow this is really going wacky.
The tank of topic is the M60T
Not the M60-2000,M60A3,Teledyne M60,or even the BAE M60 Improved.
The M60T= Is based on IAI Sabra Mk. III, which is based on M60 (ROUND) turret, not M60A1 or M60A3, with Israeli developed turret armor very similar to The Magach 7C. All other internal and some external equipment has been changed.

The M60-2000 slapped an M1 based turret on an M60 upgraded chassis
Also it is no longer referred to as M60-2000,it is the GDLS 120S,
because so much of the original M60 has been changed

I was wondering why the mantlet looked funny. Now it's obvious.

Someone has to make a kit of this tank!

ROFLMAO, Dude that was Sarcasm, Although it does have the M60 turret.

The easiest kit/bash starting point would be an Magach 7c, which is the closest out of the box you can get.The additional mods and fitments ie: storage basket,ERA,Cupula, smoke launchers,Aux. weapons, side skirts, wouldn't be that hard to scratch

I got the sarcasm.

With any luck Legends or DEF will do an update set. I have too many things going on right now, but since these were used in Syria (or so the blogs say), that fits into my current building interests. Thanks for all the information.

Not a HOGS Hair chance. Cause there's no $$ in it, cause its not a major piece, like a GERMAN Panzer,ABRAMS,Russian T-90, or any other thing we already have 20 %^&*$&* other kits of that every kit manuf. has copied or kitted that we have already built 100X
It's all about that marketing SCAM

You're probably right, but without wishful thinking I might not have any thoughts at all.

I can't believe that the M60T isn't in plastic yet! We get every Russian tank that someone doodled on their beer coaster while drinking at the bar but we can't get a real tank like this! Sorry I'm just a big M60 fan!

Sooner or later someone will start thinking about squeezing a few more kits from existing moulds. There are more than one manufacturer sitting with moulds for M60's.
Let's hope that AFV-Club decides to make more variants from their moulds ....
