This is awsome, now I can make a diorama of what I did in Afghanistan - a soldier sitting in front of a computer inside an airconditioned room for 10 months - JUST AWSOME INDEED!
HILARIOUS! I love it! (I wanted to make a diorama of a guy getting chewed out by Sgt Maj for not wearing a reflective PT belt!)

Having second thoughts about my selection. Gesh, $70.00 for a Buffalo is a bit much to have to rush through. I looked at a couple of build blogs on it and it looks pretty intense and involved. Still, a very neat vehicle.
Think I need to sleep on it and then I need to go shoppin', I guess.

There is no need for that gallery until the campaign starts so I usually don't create it until then.

Chris,
Another version of that is a guy getting jacked up for wearing a shirt that says "Major League Infidel"

OK so you usually create it at the end of the campaign ? Sorry for my question but it will be my first participation.

Ah, my mistake. I hadn't remembered that the campaign started right away. I will create the gallery now.

Hey! It's me again, looking for approval on a kit for this Campaign.
How about the German Boxer MRAV? I have found some vague references that it was used in Afghanistan for training. Of course, total approval lies here.
I originally wanted to build the Buffalo but the price and intensity of the build may be too much for right now.
So what do we say? (I shouldn't be buying anything but have no modern armor in the stash)

Life got in the way, but I'm back. OK, Gary; what do we need to do to get this campaign underway?
Jeff: if you can locate a photo or credibal source, I'll allow it.
I have found that Bulgaria did have the export version of the M1117 ASV(armored security vehicle) operating in Afghanistan. I just have to replace the 50 with the NSVT.

Yeah, I'm going through a lot of that right now with no end in sight. Hope all is well with you.
I'm still on the fence on this one. I've looked at trucks, BTR's, MRAP's and even considered a 1/72 DINGO!
But, something will pop up today. I just think a Buffalo is a bit much for right now. Maybe even that Boxer too, but there is a Revel offering that looks okay. It's not a Hobby Boss though. I read both reviews and they're not the same.

I will include you in our prayers tonight for I have been diagnosed with heart problems.
Thanks to our modeling to help the mind forget for a while.
Take care of yourself and lets do a little bit of building, what ya say?

OKAY!! After an intense, exhausting and thorough research I have found that the M1117 vehicle used by the US and Bulgarians took place in Afghanistan. http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/M1117-ASVs-for-the-Afghan-National-Army-06750/
Trumpeter offers this at a reasonable price and I might even add the Rhino Anti IED Device for it too. All and all it won't break the bank and it has WHEELS!!! And it looks good too so I am so in with this.
I'll get the Buffalo and Boxer some other time now that I'm hooked on them!

Good choice. I decided to build one and save my Stryker until I can afford the slat armor.
Turns out the lumps in my throat may be a threat, as well. Thank you for the prayers.

Yeah, same here. I want to do an MGS but want to spend more time than I do have during all these Campaigns.
