Black dog does some amazing work, with all those undercuts and hollows I wonder how long the molds last.

I like the Mercedes Wolf set.. I'm glad I never got around to building the one I got. See, keeping kits in your stash has it's benefits

The Mercedes Wolf set is indeed interesting. Goes to show that even resin could add new life to such a small plastic kit and make it something unique and original.

Does anyone know if the "Mercedes Wolf in Afghanistan shortwheelbase" is real? The photos I see on the web seem to indicate a longer wheelbase German version.

Here's a vehicle used by Cyprus... Not sure, though, about what the Germans used in Afghanistan.

Thanks, Hisham, I saw that link .
SOF FAV vehicles are one area sorely lacking in the modern PLASTIC model market. Hopefully more will release besides just resin conversions.

Hey, thanks, Frenchy!
Do you know if those are German SOF troops, or just conventional German troops?

You're welcome
Here are the corresponding captions :
Picture #1 : "FEYZABAD, Afghanistan -- German soldiers with Mobile Observation Liaison Team conduct a long term patrol in Keshem, Jan. 21. The Germans are helping ISAF in assisting the Afghan government in extending and exercising its authority and influence across the country, creating the conditions for stabilization and reconstruction."
Picture #2 : "ISAF soldier with the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) pass by lowered flags as they return back from a mission in Fayzabad, northern Afghanistan, Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008. The flags in the German camp were lowered after a roadside bomb killed three US soldiers on a mission in southern Afghanistan."
Sorry I can't help you more

To follow-up...I didn't buy the Blackdog set as I'm still debating if I want to make the R-G LKw OOTB or invest money into it. There are upcoming new kit releases that I kind of want more than the Blackdog conversion.
