hi all
this time i'll try to build a dio that can tell stories without description.i got my inspiration from “band of brothers”,part4,in which Easy company jumped into occupied holland and was hit hard by german troops in a small town near Eindhoven.Bull was survived from the retreat, hiding in a sewer.
I started with the vehicle, Sd.kfz.251/17 Ausf C, i like this, though it didn't actually show in the movie

this 251 from dragon is not that good as AFV club ones, i upgrade it with voyager PE parts

still a lot of work to do with the armor

this is the sewer in which bull was hiding. and i decided to make this with plaster
first i made the mould with ABS plate, then pour the plaster into it.
i got these after the plaster dried.

well about the round tunnel ,i polished the semi-finished products on the very left with sand paper until the right thickness, around 1MM, it is a hard work, luckily i made it.

after that, i began to build the wooden base

now about the bricks
firstly i paint it with tamiya color

2ndly paint the bricks with vallejo color

build the barrier

use tamiya putty to make some rouhg appearance

after the base brown, use dark brown, hull red, black and orange to paint this.and wash it with oils afterwards

this is what i got now.
my english is not that good so if you have any questions, post here, and i'll reply soon.
hope u like it. C&C are welcomed

Looking pretty darn good so far Eric, planning looks impeccable. I can appreciate the chunks of plaster and scribing all the detail. This looks to be a great scene. Standing by for more.

Cheers, Ski.

Very nice! I like the weathering on the vehicle. The bricks for the sewer look amazing. I can't wait to see what you do next with this. Keep up the great work.

Really nice work Eric with excellent planning and step by step descriptions. That brickwork, both the detail and color, is brilliant.

i use a wooden photo frame and three-ply board to make the base, use a saw to cut the board into desired shape, than glue them together onto the frame.after dries, sand all surfaces and apply varnish for furnitures. repeat this process until it shines

i got some progress here
first is "bull"
i can't find any suitable figures for the sewer, so i made one with current parts

arms and head will be added later

use plaster white glue and pigments to make mud, three different colors

these are effects after filter and a dark wash.
that's for today.

Respect for making your own - but maybe one of these would have done nicely
