I've just made a quick image search for JJ Models and the "models" I've came across have nothing much to do with ATVs....

Looks interesting, and for 21 bucks, just might order one.

The last two are from the linked website.
Looks like a pretty neat little kit.

Hell, for 21 bucks and 5 bucks shipping, I just had to pick one up.

If you are looking for a cheap ATV to use in a dio or something, there are quite a few in 1/32 that will work. There are a few John Deer Gators out there too.

1/32 ATVs

I have a coupla and haven't used them yet. I plan on using the motorcycle rider out of the old Dragon Light Infantry set on mine.

I e-mailed BamBam Models last night asking about the kits scale and received a reply this morning all their military kits and figures are 1/35.

BamBam are run by David Davis and they make Sci-Fi stuff as well as 1/35 scale military kits. They use 3D printing technology for making their models.

Dave, any chance of you making couple of pictures of ATV parts when you get it?

Mario

EDIT: I removed the eBay link until I know for sure the products marketed there are not recasts.

i just got one of these "kits" from him on fleabay.

it's a copy of a 1/32 polaris plastic atv. it has been separated, and then moulded and cast in large parts. i don't see any 3-d printing on the parts at all. the firues in the kit are a mish mash of recast dragon figures. the grenade launcher included is cast in one piece with the ammo can, and looks like something my dog was chewing on this morning. lots of flash on all the parts, and it will take ages to clean up.

at least it will look like an atv at the end of it.

Considering the price, a 1/32th scale Britain Honda FourTrax 300 from eBay may be a good alternative ...

A weak point of these diecasts is the wheel rims....

Here's the 1/1 one :

I guess thats why he doesn't show clearer pictures on the website then! I actually remember seeing this stuff on ebay a while back (he uses a cool picture of some computer generated stuff as the listing pic to draw you in) and remember thinking at the time that the figures looked strangely like some DML stuff. Surely what he is doing is no more legal than knocking off any resin figure. Ok, they might be modified, but a guy was selling some modified Alpine figures on ebay a few years back and was promptly stopped from doing some by Teasung. This is wrong in my opinion and I won't be wasting any money on this junk.

Seems he isn't just copying Dragon stuff either, check this listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-35-scifi-FUture-soldiers-set-/120802109834?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c205de98a#ht_500wt_1215

If you check out the 3rd picture, in the top right hand corner the figure appears to be Black Dog's EOD figure, pretty easy to spot because its wearing the blast proof suit. Now this could obviously be an original, but those figures arent cheap and I don't see why he would remove it from the set and sell like this. One of his neutral feedback replies says some figures are AA knock off's as well.

Now I know who we are talking about. I have seen his junk on eBay before. It all looks like recasts to me. Not very good ones either. He likes to show cool pics as the main page pic too, to draw you in...then you see the actual parts on the inner page pics, yuk!! I would stay far away from this guys and his stuff.

I too noticed their products on eBay and contacted Dave to get some detailed pictures... I wanted to run a news story on BamBam military stuff, but never actually got the pictures that I could use for the report. Dave said he uses 3D printing technology to grow the models and I must admit I didn't notice the similarity with other comapnies models or figures. But then again, I didn't look as hard as the pictures were just too small for me to decide on buying the set myself.

On a side note, this one above is no ATV, it's a Fabrique Nationale (FN) AS24 built in the 60s for Belgian para-commandos.

My kit arrived in yesterdays mail.
All I can say is save your money.
Matt Paine is 100% correct, it's a resin copy of a 1/32 die cast, complete with copyrights and trade marks on the chassis, the figures are recasts also, and and I agree, some pieces look like chewing gum.
I don't think I'll write a review about this kit, I'll just let the photos speak for themselves.

What an absolute crook! I can't believe he even has the balls to leave the original TM logo on the model. This guy doesn't deserve a single cent and I only hope that ebay take action against this a-hole. I heard from Accurate Armour that they have been trying for some time to take action against him as his is producing fakes of their products as well.

Thanks for the pics as well Dave.

Oh boy, this looks terrible! Dave, I hope you left an appropriate feedback...

I have tried finding his eBay store again, just to see the feedback people gave for this kind of models, but I can't seem to find it. Has eBay suspended the account?

Unfortunately, I can't find his ebay store either. And unfortunately I bought it through his site.I wonder if Walt Disney Studios knows their fire chief is doing copyright infringments.

YUK! That looks aweful. As I suspected though, he's a rip-off artist. Total junk. I'll stick to the 1/32 diecast ones as I had planned.

For info purposes, an outfit called Tractor Supply Co. carries a line of 1/32 scale diecast / plastic ATVs and John Deere Gators that run from $1.99 to $4.99. They are occasionally on sale.
I don't know if they are online,as the store is just down the street (Ft.Wayne,In). I got a few when a sale was on.
They look pretty good with 1/35 scale figures, especially for the price.
