Nifty! Necessary for any Eastern Front dio, whether Soviet or Beutepanzer. Glad to see the crew added.

Excellent news. Nice to see a few figures thrown in for good measure.
Having their GAZ wheel sets, that really build up beautifully. Just be carefull of using too much cement when assembling them, and pay attention to the instructions, and how you face the waffers together, they are outstanding. Ths one looks lightyears ahead of the old Eastern Express (which had various other company names also).

Anybody want some old Eastern Express GAZ kits? I'll let you have them for a song and a dance.

The style of the cab and hood look very similar to early '30's Fords (ie: 1932 Ford Victoria). Could be interesting as a North American civilian vehicle.

It's (seems) really obvious but you're the first person i've actually seen making that comparison. Ford incidentally were the ones who set up the Gaz truck production in the Soviet Union...

Now going right off the military theme for a minute, one of these trucks would look pretty good set in the States in the 1930s....

Yes, if you do a little bit of quick research on the internet you will find a good amount of info regarding Ford's involvement with the light truck industry in Russia.
Oh and don't forget the A designations, those come from Ford as well

@ biggles - "Could be interesting as a North American civilian vehicle." Only if you get rid of one of the rear axles - the twin rear axle job was a Russian development.

Armo, a Polish company available from jaddarhobby.pl, do some nice resin conversions for the Zvezda kit - I suppose they should fit the Miniart kit, too.
