Hello all,
Here are my pics of the M34 from the Revell kit 03029. This is my 4th serious attempt - and I know I still got a lot to learn so feel free to comment. The truck is from the 57th Transportation Battalion Vietnam 1968. I used the XF58 Olive green from Tamiya and Mig Vietnam earth pigments. Wash was done with a mixture of humbrol 160+120.
In the end I did an overspray with XF57 Buff. Decals are done with set and sol.

Great job!! Love the decaling, making the paint looked chipped. Nice technique you got there, very convincing. The dirt and mud looks great as well.
Be proud!

Great modeling. Like I said in the Dutch forum, the dirt is very, very good. Most often people put on way too much dirt ..... you handled it with great care and the results are smashing !

Dirk:
This is well done--very solid build on your part!
My respects on your close up pics ----as any possible flaws will pop with pics this close---very very solid build. You have done just a great job with this vehicle. I especially like the dirt on the lower parts of the chassis ie the wheel wells, etc.
The only thing you'd might consider is a touch more dust/dirt on the rear end--(and this is just me), but a light overall dust spray on the entire vehicle.
Dirk, congrats on this softskin---well done sir!. Looks like Verlinden carton cargo in the bed????

Nice looking M-34. The weathering effects are well done. The only thing is the star on the hood is reversed. The point should be to the front of the hood. On the M-34's and newer vehicles the star always point forward. I know that the instructions show them as you have placed them. this is a little nict pick I know but your work is very good and is deserving of the authentic look. We had a lot of these trucks in the early part of 1965-1966 in Vietnam. The unit markings are from a unit that was in Nam. Cheers Well Done!!

very nice my friend. My only pointer would be that in a couple of the pics it appears that a bit of the flash around the centre of the tyres is still showing. Other then that a good job

Ola People,
Thanks for the encouraging words. It means a great deal to me.
Steve,
It's not Verlinden cargo. The brown sacks are from Tamiya Sand Bags. The carton boxes are from Tamiya and I have copied them on brown paper. The crates are actually from a road set of toy trucks from my six year old son.I dry-brushed them a bit.
Animal,
I didn't know that. Thanks mate for the info.
