Hi guys
Here are some photos of my lastest diorama project featuring tamiyas M3 halftrack and M26 Pershing with extra figures from the spares box.
The halftrack is completed and the Pershing has been air brushed ( my first time!!!).
Is there anything you can suggest I could put to add a little extra detail to the base(I still need to add grass and for mud).
I have decided to call it "One step closer"

Very nice
Very clean build and a nice layout for a dio. Nice first time AB :-) :-)
Are you planning on a bit of mud for the Tank?
I think this will look great once you add the grass, plants, shrubs, rocks, sand, mud, etc . It's a great begining for what looks like a very cool dio.
Maybe a tree or two in the back? A log or two at the road side?
Again, Looks great. I'd like to see more

There gonna be lots of extra stowage mainly tarps and bed rolls, and the pin is on a pair of legs that needs a body. there is a lot of mud on the halftrack so i will be addidning alot on the pershing. he logs on the side of the road sound good.

Andy looks good!!! If that's the Tamiya Pershing why don't you add something for it to go over and use that nice working suspension. Didn't you have another dio planned with that Halftrack??? also don't forget to muddy the boots of the figs. STUG

Lord Kiwi
Andy----in my opinion you have brought your modeling expertise to a new level over the last couple months. Congratulations!!!!
The layout on your scene is well done, the Half Track is looking good, your fig work is already well known around the site, and the Pershing appears to be solidly built. It's great to see a young modeler make impressive strides like this in a short time. You have always been willing to show your work in RR, and I've always enjoyed it, it just seems you've gone to that next level recently, and it shows in your in progress pics of this scene.
Keep us posted, and keep up the great work pal

Good job Andy !! my only suggestion would be to have the M-26 pulled off to the side of the road pulling a overwatch on a slight rise (to show off the working suspension) . The base looks good nice work on the track indentions in the mud . One way to give the mud the "splatterd" look would be to use a toohbrush to sling the mud at the tank , do this out side don't want to make a mess in the house and make mom mad . Good job and keep us up-dated

Anzac II,
As WWH had pointed out, this is a very well made dio, and your skill in model building and painting are progressing most impressively. Really like how the things come out. And can't wait to see it finished.
Nice work, Anzac II.

Hi Andy,
real nice start this is for the dio. To make good use of the Tamiya kit I suggest you add a little stuff to the road. Make it move over something!
cheers - Andreas -

Thanks HKT for the encouragement,
i have now added a fence at the back and some grass made from old paint brushes in.
Iam going to have the M26 going over a fallen branch.

I have one minor suggestion... i find that tanks looks "better" if the business end of the barrel is aimed left or right of center... it shows just a "bit" more action, and gives some interests beyond the straight ahead linear look. just a matter of taste I guess.
