With the announcement of Bronco's Buffalo these things will fly off the shelves......My big questions are how many crew members are in a vehicle.....is there a weapons station........and can you have ERA like armor or is it more cage armor or even RPGNET...........pictures of the interior and exterior cage armor would be awesome...........

The Buffalo MRAP has seats for the driver and assistant driver, plus seats for 12 GIBs (guys in the back).
The latest versions are fitted with the slat armor for RPG protection.
I have not seen any with the ERA block armor nor weapons stations on them.

They have EFP armor and CROWS II mounted on them now. Let me see if I have any pictures.

Those who have my Buffalo CD have the CROWS photos from the roof as well, circa 2008.

Don't know how many of you in the US get the G4 Network, but their new show "Bomb Patrol Afghanistan" featured a Buff in action in last night's episode...

It did indeed, and it had a CROWS II mounted on it as well.

I only saw about a dozen different Buffalos and one fluffalo ( training buffalo) when I was over, but I dont think ANY ONE OF THEM was identical. One of the ones I saw in particular had a 100 gallon water tank, a small fire pump, and a 200 foot reel of firehose on it. When I asked what the hell it was for, the crewman told me they used it to wash away suspected IEDs and to extinguish any vehicle fires if the convoy had a problem. I thought it was a damn ingenious idea and would be relatively easy to add to the model with scratchbuilding.

That's an excellent point. It jives very much with what I saw in 2010-2011 in Afghanistan in RC-East. Can't speak for any other AO but each RCP did things that suited them best for their area.

I just got my bronco buffalo from ebay an heard it was not the usa version it's another version how hard is it to correct the problem to the usa version. I plan to put it on the hb m1070/1000 as one dio or do a road dio using the m1151 an the m atv mrap and a buffalo on a scene I saw on the military channel show.
I saw a figure set with a bomb suit an a robot machine I forgot who makes it any help would be appreciated. If I use that with the road dio with a buffalo would it look corret or would any one of the vehicles be used to carry that gear and robot?
Happy modeling

For EOD soldiers, there are some operators with computer from Legend Productions and Blackdog.
THere are "Talon" robot from AFV Club and Blast Models.
I heared that the two figures on a base with a robot from Hobby Fan are fitted with prototype equipment, so don't can be used for your diorama.

To answer your question about Buffalo's with CROWS. The Army /Marines wanted a kit to install the CROWS onto the Buffalo The engineer involved with the Buffalo at FPI did not want to do it as the Buffalo was a command and control vehicle and the CROWS would attract attention. With his thinking he would have left off guns on a battleship.
For everyone that is interested I have put together a CD of photo shoots of the Buffalo A1, Buffalo A1 with ERA (force armor) and the Buffalo A2 with bar armor. These where taken at various public showing of the Buffalo while on display at Charleston AFB airshows. The CD is $18.99 includes shipping state side You can contact me for details at [email protected].
Thanks
Thomas

Is there any photos of a battlefield deployed Buffalo in overall Green color?
