Did you buy a mold making kit or is this some sort of a home made solution?

Thanks Martin,
The most of the molds on this topic are RTV molds which I make from a two component mold making kit.

I get it form a local handcraft/hobby shop. And sold in different quantity's
Unfortunately no brand and sign written on it

But this is the product future you need to pay attention on:
"Tin Cured RTV Molding Silicone "
Any brand with with this future will do the job.

To fill between wood frames I used this modeling paste
It dries in 12 hours when exposed to air.

To illustrate a wall texture I suppressed a 100P sand paper and leave the panel to try.

That shows the deference between textured and plane surfaces.

The paste pull-out from edges when dried.

Putty saved the day

Painted the complete panel with wood brown

I am pretty happy about the result

Yo Cem,

I can believe my eyes !!!! What a project!!!

If I see all the kits you have to put together...that should take me a lifetime.

But your doing very well on the start, as you say you have made a good scenario on how you should start on build this massive project. You sure did a good job doing that...I see much of this sort diorama projects, great ideas at the beginning but after some days of work much modelers get stack in their own ideas and project because they don't work whit a good build up plan and scenario...

But you're on the right way a see, I hope you have much of fun building this.

Keep up, I follow...

Thanks for the comments.

The signal tower is taking time then I expected. assembly and painting process is still going on.

I finished wall panels of tower section. Its fully assembled but still in detailing process and not mounted on floor.

Floor section was another time killer

WOW, your work is inspiring! I normally build ships in MUCH smaller scales, but I just might try out your techniques to make harbor installations one day...

best regards,

Mozart you are composing a very good diorama here. I think you are on the right track with your plan and expect that you will be going full steam ahead in your build. All punning aside though Cem this is a great work & I am enjoying the work you are doing here. Your buildings and especially the walls you have scratch built are very good examples of our craft in the hands of a top notch builder. Keep rolling along & I will look for more updates as you complete this rolling symphony.

Cheers.

Many Thanks for the quick comments.

The building section is almost done. Windows and doors are from Mini Art building accessories set. All the frames were measured to fit these items previously.

That's were I am so far....

Looking good so far Cem, is the stuff you use for the pours the same or similar to hydrocal? I like the way you put the texture on the building using the sandpaper. I bet using the sandpaper as the actual layer for the wall segments would work too. it might give the impression of the old stucco buildings with the glass shards in the mix like some of the older houses do here across the pond... though it is probably a later innovation than the war years.

looking forward to your next update.

Hi Dave,

Its similar to hydrocal. I used woodland hydrocal couple of years ago. Its my favorite but so expensive here in Turkey.

The work you have seen under my topic is a similar local make commercial version of hydrocal...
