Many thanks for all comments
For this one it take six monts. The bigest trouble was finding reference to make the job right. I find many references on armored wagons but very rare on unarmored flak wagons. Currently I'm still working on signal tower and ssy flat bed carrying biber mini u-boat. It's really fun but moving slow. I will start positing images with write-up as soon as I finalize this one.

Simply spectacular work, however there seems to be one missing detail from the reference photos and that is the storage box and spare barrel racks attached to the outside edge of the gun compartment. Yes I know I sound like a bean counter. Again though spectacular work, you make it look so easy, I too have been wanting build the 88 Flak rail car, but I haven't been able to find the Dragon flat car and others like it are to expensive. I can't wait to see the end result of your labors.

Beautiful build. love it thus far. The scratch building is on a whole other level for sure and quite outstanding. One silly question though. The Flakvierling 38 had a crew of 3 I believe. I see only 2 beds in the car. Where did the 3rd guy sleep? Did they sleep in shifts?

Hello Dave,
Very good question dough. As far as I know The wagon crew is 4.
The reason they had 2 beds was to ensure other two always stay at watch wile rest are sleeping.
Its very clever and a "all time warm bed" solution for crew

I'm very fascinated by the amount and quality of scratch building I'm seeing here. Kudos!
But there's one thing that bothers me just a little bit: shouldn't be there some kind of metal plate under the oven in the car and the switch tower? You know, because of the heat and in case something falls out...

Congratulations on your 1:1 scale scratch built baby. He looks so life like. Is he RC or a static model? What colours did you use for the flesh tones? Oils or acrylics?
But seriously congratulations. You've probably already been told but life as you and your partner knew it is over but you'll have many years of joy and wonderment as bub grows. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see you back for at least 18 months but hopefully you'll find the time between sleepless night, feeds and nappy changes to continue you excellent work.

I wonder if the baby takes all of his modeling energy.
Can't wait until a new update.
The thread is one big motivation to scratch building.
