I have completed Zvezda’s Russian ISU-122.

This build is straight oob with Fruil tracks and wire grabs added on. Also the front fenders show damage, (to basically show off the Fruil’s), and several unditching beams have been plopped on to the back deck. The vehicle is heavily weathered with multiple dark and rust washes, dry brushed mud/browns, and chalk.

The ISU is dedicated to UofAWildcat, leader of the Russian Biggun’s mini group build, ---- (a fun build where it’s gotta be Russian - tracked – big – bad - ugly, and have an impressive gun tube). Big beefy Russian armor is fun to build!

Thanks to Nate aka PorkChop for sending me decals after I ruined the kit ones.

I hope you enjoy the following pics, and appreciate any helpful comments. Thanks.

Steve

Lord WWH , good work about the only thing that i would add is a tow cable . It's hard to tell did you drill out the end of the MG ? This is going to give SS a fit - no lens to fuss about . Great job TOAD - 13 OUT

Lord Horn! :-)
I am breathless ... this is wonderful work. Excellent
You continue to get more and more impressive with your models, each time raising the benchmark with your superb skill
May i ask to color you used for the base? And how you weathered the worn armor on top?
Two points.. Maybe a tow cable or two and you need a patriotic slogan

The ugly and beefy little critter is a thing of beauty! Congrats!

P,S, - Nice horn, excellent highlighting of it's hornish shape. Very horney horn

WOW! Never cease to amaze me, Lord WWH and your excellent excellent work, (albeit lens less)

The faded paint, the chopstick wood block, the highlight on the tracks, all very neat (tm) and impressive.

I like the MG very much.

I think it's time you make a German Armor now.

Great work as usual (tm).

PS, you need to put a chap as the TC in the vehicle.

Very nicely done Steve! Those Friuls look great! The MG is nicely detailed.

What's next for the ODMeister ( (c) Jeep 2000 ) ?

Steve:
Yet another fantastic allied vehicle. You really have the knack for getting a worn out look on the OD. It's nice to see subjects that are a little off center of the usual mix of Tigers, Panthers and Shermans.
And the decals look super!!!!!

WeWillHold,

This is excellent - this has turned out to be a very fine model indeed! I love the dusty colour, it gives a nice used feel to the vehicle without being overdone. The unditching beams also look very good and are coloured very well.

Well done indeed! :-)

Ditto that, and one small point to add, WOrn Out Look from WWH is not only limited in his models.

You are my lord man! Nice to see you finished the ISU-122 with perfect weathering.
By the way, what is the method you used to simulate the rust effect on the tracks?
Hey, what's your next project?

The detail and weathering is impressive.... only thing I would like to see.. is a front pic, showing the full cannon and turret .... I would love to see the biggest firepower on this baby.
