I already have the GMC/Bofors on order from Hobby Easy. If I can keep my hands off the contents for long enough I'll try and review it .........

Al, so far as I can find out they were only used by the Free French in N.W.Europe and then possibly in Indo China and North Africa post-war.
There are a few photos I found on Google of a model of one in the desert with added side armour as well, but I haven't seen any other info on this.

The GMC/Bofors arrived today, and very good it looks too! If I get a chance next weekend I'll do some sprue-shots and write some words about it.

32 were built. They were only used by the 22nd Colonial Group of the 2eDB anti-aircraft land forces, with a total of 17 enemy aircraft shot down between August 1944 and March 1945. (from Boniface & Jeudy GMC A Universal Truck) . They were used later in Indochina where some were uparmored like this one :
A less sophisticated variant was also used in Indochina. The 40 mm gun was simply mounted in the cargo bed of an unmodified GMC and some armor plates added :

I heard that the Bofors used with normal GMC were Navy one, so with different pedestal.
